The Seward Police Department is dedicated to providing honest, efficient, and effective Law Enforcement Services.
We are committed to providing the highest quality of service, preserving human rights, lives and property, and working in partnership with our citizens to meet the challenges of reducing crime and encouraging voluntary compliance with all laws.

The Seward Police Department is a member of the Kenai Peninsula Crimestoppers and the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force.
History
The Seward Police Department was established on June 18, 1912. The department operates the Seward Community Jail and dispatches for the Seward Volunteer Ambulance Corp, Seward Volunteer Fire, Volunteer Fire, and other Seward city departments. The Seward Police Department is the hub in emergency situations, coordinating all emergency services and civil defense.

This years Operation Glow where the Seward Police Department and the Seward Volunteer Fire Department handed out Glow Sticks in the schools and at the Halloween Carnival at the AVTEC gym. There were a lot of great costumes and the kiddos seemed to be having a great time trick or treating. Here are some photos.

Seward Police Department
Hello Seward just a reminder that its snow removal season and our officers will be enforcing the parking rules for the snow removal areas on 3rd, Ave, 4th Ave, and 5th Ave. Please make sure you are parked in the correct spot before you leave your vehicle for the night. The signs are posted in all the affected areas.
